Team Progress Week 1

Part 1:

SquareOne made quite a bit of progress this week. Our team was able to figure out the general storyline of the entire game, while also wrote down the direction we want to take with MDA. The game is mainly a action RPG, however, the part that makes us stand out is that not only we have the traditional real-time combat system, we also want to introduce 'bullet hell' and 'maze' into the game (with multiple different camera angles). On top of that, we started doing some concept art for both character and environment (see above).

Part 2:

After listening to the critique of our proposal, we were able to adapt and improve on our idea. One of the main concern was the scope of the game. However, we think that we are able to handle it. Some members were able to start working on modeling for both main character and the environment. We will also be assigning one member solely working on the narrative since that is also a weak part of our presentation. We do have a background story that we didn't present in the proposal (see in Eldwin's blog).
